This provocative documentary exposes the true story behind the making of a 1942 Nazi propaganda film that has been used for decades by scholars as an authentic record of life in the Warsaw Ghetto. Outtakes from the original film were discovered in 1998 and reveal the extent to which many scenes were deliberately forced and manufactured.

This meticulously researched film examines all of the footage, and interweaves diary entries, testimony from a German cameraman, and interviews with Survivors as they watch the material for the first time.
