Synopsis
Anita Feldman, a young woman with Down syndrome, lives a comfortable and sheltered life with her loving mother above the family stationery store in a Jewish neighborhood of Buenos Aires. In the aftermath of the tragic 1994 terrorist car bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center, Anita, bewildered and disoriented, wanders the streets for days to find her missing mother, while her older brother searches frantically for them amidst the chaos. As Anita learns to care for herself during her journey around the city, her sweet and gentle spirit deeply affects the diverse people who come to her aid—and who are in their own ways lost as well. Touching and suspenseful until the last moment. Winner of the Best Film award and the Audience Award at the 2009 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. You will be engaged with this film from the start to the final credit. Co-sponsored by College of Adaptive Arts Film Details
