Synopsis

Facing threats of an American boycott if Jews were barred from participating in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the Nazi government enticed Gretel Bergmann, a champion Jewish high jumper, into training on the German team.

This nail-biting and powerful docudrama explores the political and personal challenges that Gretel faced in this difficult situation. Will she compete in the Berlin Olympics? How do the Americans react? There's an emotional surprise ending to this incredible story.
