Fugitive Pieces

Synopsis

A young Jewish boy’s immediate family is murdered before his eyes by Nazis, but, through fate, his life is spared.  Despite later success in life as a writer in Toronto, he remains a hostage of this profound grief, unable to truly love or be loved.  This film, through kaleidoscopic cinematography, charts the process by which he eventually frees himself and learns that memories are to be treasured. A touching and beautiful cinematic masterpiece. Produced by Robert Lantos (“Sunshine”). Stars Ayelet Zurer.
