Synopsis

In 1960s Jerusalem, on the edge of adolescence, sensitive Aharon Kleinfeld tries to figure out why he has stopped growing physically. Suddenly without friends and at odds with his outer world in a dreary, cramped housing development, he creates his own rules to speak to an imagined version of himself and journeys to an inner world where his poetic soul can grow.

Based on David Grossman's 1991 novel The Book of Intimate Grammar, this poignant film won the Best Feature Film Award at the 2010 Jerusalem International Film Festival and the Sakura Grand Prix at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
