The definitive work on the subject, this masterful documentary film chronicles the lengthy campaign, begun on a shoestring in the United States, to allow Soviet Jews to emigrate to Israel.  The film features clandestine footage smuggled out of the Soviet Union, interviews with major world figures such as former U. S. Secretary of State George Shultz, Oxford historian Sir Martin Gilbert, and former Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev, as well as all the major refuseniks, including Anatoly Sharansky.

Special Program Follows Movie:
Morey Schapira, who was active in the Bay Area Council on Soviet Jewry, and David Waksberg, a former executive director of the Bay Area Council, will speak after the movie. They are both featured in the film. It is expected that they will be joined by former Refusenik.
