The Debt

Synopsis

This is a nail-biting fiction with a seemingly plausible premise. Mossad agents capture a Mengele-like Nazi physician, intending to return him to Israel for trial.  He escapes, and, to cover their bungling, they concoct a story that they had killed him.  Thirty years later, the Nazi re-emerges, and the former agents, now acting on their own, set out to find him and finish the job. Never formulaic, this thriller is suspenseful until the last scene.

Shown With Student short—“Soul to Soul”

Students at Hillel of Silicon Valley and Congregation Beth David (Saratoga) Hebrew High, recognizing they are the last generation to interview men and women who went through the Holocaust,  have collaborated on interviews of Santa Clara County Holocaust survivors in a project called, “MeNeshama LeNeshama (From Soul to Soul)”. They have created a film of some of the interviews. This unique ten minute student movie will be shown prior to “The Debt.”
