Synopsis
Hank Greenspun was a "Zelig" involved in many important US and world events.
This documentary, narrated by Anthony Hopkins and featuring comments by various notable figures,
is a tribute to Greenspun's many accomplishments and adventures. He was publisher of
"The Las Vegas Sun", through which he confronted Sen. McCarthy, exposed
governmental corruption in Nevada and organized crime control over major casinos, and fought
against racial segregation. This "renaissance man" also smuggled weapons to the
newly-formed State of Israel and—believe it or not—was the initial target of
the Watergate burglars.
SPECIAL EVENT
Following the film, hear from Scott
Goldstein, two-time Emmy Award/Golden
Globe winning, producer, writer and director, who produced and
directed this film, narrated by Anthony Hopkins. Scott's major
credits include "LA Law", "Doogie Howser, MD", NBC's TODAY
Show, and more. Aside from "Hank Greenspun", another highly
acclaimed documentary work includes the Emmy nominated
television special "The Last Deadline: The Death of Chicago
Daily News". He also created the core multi-media exhibits at the
Museum of Tolerance and the New York Tolerance Center.
