Synopsis

How did Blues and rock and roll enter the mainstream? Philip and Leonard Chess, tough Jewish immigrants from Poland, brought the Blues sound onto the national stage, including Blues greats Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley and Etta James. A must-see for any fan of blues and rock and roll, this film features authentic musical performances and a hit-filled score while telling the story of two brothers who played a key role in the emergence of the Blues as a mainstay of popular American music.
